Química Anastacio has just joined the UN Global Compact in Brazil, a United Nations (UN) initiative to mobilize the business community to adopt and promote, in their businesses, the universally accepted Ten Principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption. With the creation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Compact has also taken on the mission of engaging the private sector in this new agenda.

Química Anastacio has incorporated the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its ESG strategy. We can highlight the contributions to Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12) in our operations. Moreover, the company has a positive impact through internal policies and practices in the SDGs of Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), Gender Equality (SDG 5), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10), Climate Action (SDG 13), and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

A notable highlight is the dedication to SDG 4 – Quality Education, carried out by the Anastacio Institute. This Institute plays a crucial role in providing quality education to children and young people in the outskirts of São Paulo, reinforcing the company's commitment to sustainable development at multiple levels.

A special initiative of the UN Secretary-General, the United Nations Global Compact is a call for companies around the world to align their operations and strategies with ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. Launched in 2000, the Global Compact provides guidelines and supports the global business community in advancing the goals and values of the UN through responsible business practices. With more than 21,000 participants across 65 local networks, it brings together 18,000 companies and 3,800 non-business organizations in 101 countries, and is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with reach and engagement in 162 countries. By joining the Global Compact, we have committed to reporting annually on our progress in the Ten Principles. Thus, the initiative encourages the ongoing evolution of internal sustainability practices. Companies that want to participate can get more information at www.pactoglobal.org.br
